Leakage

Leakage

Solution: Inspect the valve seals, gaskets, and packing materials for signs of wear. If any components are damaged or degraded, they should be replaced immediately. Ensure that the valve is properly installed, and check for any misalignment that could cause leakage.

Preventive Measure: Regularly replace seals and packing materials as part of a scheduled maintenance routine. Use high-quality, durable materials that are resistant to the fluids being processed.

Sticking or Jamming

Solution: For ANSI Globe Valves, check the internal parts for corrosion or buildup of debris. Clean the valve thoroughly and lubricate the moving parts to ensure smooth operation. If the valve components are damaged, consider replacing them with new ones.

Preventive Measure: Regularly clean the valves and perform periodic maintenance to remove any dirt or buildup that could cause the valve to stick. Use filters or strainers to prevent debris from entering the valve and causing blockages.

Erratic Operation

Solution: If the valve’s actuator or control system is malfunctioning, inspect the electrical components and wiring for faults. Ensure that the actuator is receiving proper signals and that the valve is properly aligned with the control system. If necessary, recalibrate the control system or replace faulty parts.
